Lot’s of people are proud of the character they’ve built, as am I.
Every bit of personal character should be appreciated.
However, if you want to have really solid personal character, then take my suggestion of psychoanalysis as a litmus test.
Can you largely consciously & subconsciously refrain from feeling defensive towards the person while having a trained professional psychologically strip search your mind and bluntly expose every bit of your deepest self?
I’d suggest further personal & emotional development, if you largely do or would respond defensively in scenarios like this.
If you know the person may realistically be a harmful threat to you, then it is logical to be defensive. However, if no real threat exists, then you’re just running the animal programming you were born with, instead of having developed solid character of greater intelligence.
The reality is that this litmus test would expose 90+ % of all “respected” people of “character” and reveal them as quite average in their true capacity of personal character.
We all have & lack personal character within certain mindsets and areas of life.
However, I dare you to rate & develop your comprehensive personal character.
Try this test, if you dare.
