We live in a cause/effect world, no? Yes.
This is such a “fucking duh” distinction when you get it, but most people’s mindset is often ignorantly misaligned here.
This can potentially be a personal or organizational paradigm shift.
The distinction…
You want results…in your personal life, in your business, in the world.
Don’t pursue those goals.
It almost always won’t work too well.
You want money? Don’t focus on making money.
You want friends? Don’t focus on making friends.
You want love? Don’t focus on making love.
Don’t primarily focus on getting the results you want.
It is largely a waste.
Instead…
Focus on developing what generates the results you want.
This is not just semantics, it is a fundamental mindset shift that will make you much more effective in getting what you want in life.
In our cause/effect world, every result you want is an effect.
So you have to build the cause in your favor, if you want to realize more of your desired results.
Of course we have to identify what we specifically want (not always easy). Then we have to figure out what will effectively cause the results we want.
At that point, it is all about pursuing the cause, not the result.
All results are effects of a cause.
You want a result? Find the cause, then pursue & develop that, instead of over obsessing about the result.
The results you want are only effects of some cause. Get strategic and build the cause.
You’ll likely go far if you obsess about this dynamic in your own custom life…and then execute on it.

Nicely put man
