of profitably building a business
Most people should aspire to become a self-employed pro. If you are extremely driven, and willing to sacrafice on a greater level, then maybe becoming a professional entrepreneur is right for you.
Being just commonly self-employed and especially being an amateur entrepreneur are usually financially fruitless, but can be one’s training wheel period, if driven to become an authentic pro in either.
Having gone through the long & hard work of turning myself into a pro entrepreneur, I routinely see lots of “wantrepreneurs” simply not doing what it takes while acting like they’ve got a golden ticket.
Truly investing yourself into the technical knowledge & skills of profitably building a business for many years, either mom & pop or at the scale of entrepreneurship, is where you gain real world predictability and end up winning in the big bad world of commerce.
